NYX Eyebrow Gel, "Espresso", Review And Swatches

Eyebrows are very important, since they frame a person's face, and there are a ton of different eyebrow products out there that get the job done beautifully. NYX has come out with several different brow products lately, one of them being the NYX Eyebrow Gel, which completely intrigued me. So, what did I do? I ordered one, of course!

I purchased this in the shade, "Espresso" on Ulta's website for $6.99.  There is a total of five different colors that you can chose from, so check them out here!  NYX claims that this is a lightweight waterproof formula that will not smudge or wear off, while giving you natural looking brows. Every girls goal when it comes to our eyebrows, right?

Lets see if the NYX Eyebrow Gel is too good to be true!

What I love about the packaging of this product is that this is such a small tube, that it fits into the palm of my hand! This is perfect and easy to travel with as it will not take up any room in your makeup bag. I actually keep this in my everyday makeup bag since it is just the right size!

The cap screws on and back on very tightly, so you do not have to worry about the cap loosening up over time and the product squeezing itself out.

I like how the tip is thin and the hole of the tip is very tiny, because you are assured to get out just the right amount of product that you will need. And you will only need a very tiny, less than a pea sized amount of product for both of the brows. So, that tiny hole is the perfect size for the product inside the tube!

NYX Eyebrow Gel, "Espresso"

Now, in the above picture, I squeezed out waaaayyy too much product, so you can get an idea of how much product you will need.

NYX's Eyebrow Gel is thick, but lightweight, like a mouse and is very easy to work through the eyebrows. But, the thing is, while this is easy to work with, also beware that you need to use a very light hand when applying this product, because if using a heavy hand, even the smallest amount of product that you might use will look unnatural and drawn harshly on.

Too Faced Eyebrow Brush

Too Faced Eyebrow Brush

I use my Too Faced Angled Eyebrow Brush to apply this product, because it works perfectly when stroking the product lightly onto my eyebrows and gives me the desired look that I am wanting. The spoolie at the end of this brush also helps to brush out any harsh lines, helping to give a more natural appearance to the brows.

NYX Eyebrow Gel in, "Espresso"

With just that amount of product that I had squeezed out of the tube in one of the above pictures I was able to produce these awesome swatches for you to gawk at! Clearly, it is product overload, wouldn't you agree?

The NYX Eyebrow Gel sets relatively fast and once it sets, you can forget about blending it out, because it is not going anywhere! I have worn the NYX Eyebrow Gel on several occasions all day. One day I made a point of wearing this outside on a 90 degree day while my husband an I set up our giant pool, and I sweated buckets... I was happy to notice at the end of the day that my eyebrows still where there!

While the NYX Eyebrow Gel fills in the brows, it does not hold the hairs of the eyebrows in place. So, if you are like me and need that extra help in the brow department, make sure that you use a brow product that will shape and hold your eyebrow hairs into place.

I love the NYX Eyebrow Gel because this lasts all day long with no fading or smearing! You can count on this to stay on until you decide it is time to take it off! This is perfect for the summer time in the heat and in the pool!

Check this out for yourself, I know that your perfect shade is waiting for you!

Too Faced Five Piece Bronzer Wardrobe Collection

I am brining to you something that I was very excited about that I ordered from Ulta last week, and it is the Too Faced Five Piece Bronzer Wardrobe Collection and it includes four of their popular bronzers in deluxe sized samples.

The Too Faced Five Piece Bronzer Wardrobe Collection retails on Ulta's website for $22.00 which you can check out here. I searched Too Faced's and Sephora's website and did not find this product sold there, so, this may be exclusive only to Ulta.

The bronzers included in here are Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Sun Bunny Bronzer and Endless Summer 16-hour Long-Wear Bronzer. But, not only are you getting an amazing amount of deluxe sized bronzers, but you are also getting a mini sized Teddy Bear Hair Flatbuki brush to apply these bronzers with!

These Two Faced Bronzers have been around awhile and a few of these have a cult following, so I am not going to go into details about each of these bronzers. But, I will swatch these for you and give a quick run down of the products.

Ready? Here we go!

I love the feel of the box that this comes in, because it would make such an adorable gift, don't you think? Look, it even has a bow on the top ready to give to that makeup lover in your life!

Those are the goodies that you get inside this cute little box! Exciting treasures!

Too Faced Deluxe Sized Sample Size

Just to give you a background into why I purchased the Too Faced Bronzer Wardrobe Collection, it was because I was interested in purchasing Too Faced's Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. But, I have never had the opportunity to play with it and wasn't sure if I would like it enough to pay $30.00 for it. So, I saw this package on Ulta's website for $22.00 and thought that this was perfect because it gave me the chance to experiment not only with the Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, but three others! Plus, they are all deluxe sized samples that will last a long time and are easy to travel with!

The Teddy Bear Hair Flatbuki brush is extremely adorable and, I am proud to say, perfect to travel with! It does have a small handle, but I have found that it is still easy to handle when applying the bronzer. The brush fits perfectly into the deluxe sized samples and picks up the product with no problem. The bristles are extremely soft and gentle, helping the product to blend seamlessly.

I will say that I do not like this brush for contouring, because I found that the brush is still to big and won't give that chiseled contour line that is expected when contouring. But, it is great as a bronzer brush!

Too Faced Endless Summer 16-Hour Long-Wear Bronzer

Endless Summer 16-Hour Long-Wear Bronzer is said to give a long lasting lit-from within glow and it does have subtle shimmer to it.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Deluxe Sample Size

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is a favorite among many and is said to be good for everyday contouring and creating a matte tan. And, it does smell like cocoa powder, which is a bonus!

Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer
Deluxe Sample Size

Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer

Sun Bunny Bronzer is said to create a natural radiance, and to me, can be used as a nice highlight.

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Deluxe Sample Size

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer

Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is their lighter version of the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and creates a warmth to the skin. And yes, this too smells like chocolate!

What I did find out about these bronzers is that the formula is very powdery. Just the lightest touch with the brush can kick up a lot of product, so beware. A light hand is all you need with these bronzers!

The formula is soft and blends very well onto the face, so you will have no issues blending this product.

Overall, I know I will get a lot of use out of these bronzers and am happy with this purchase because now I can try out a few different bronzers and pick my favorite!

I recommend that you buy this, even if you already have your favorite full sized bronzer, because a girl can always use a few high end travel sized beauty products!

Model Co. Pressed Bronzing Powder, "Bronze-Shimmer", Review And Swatches

Summertime, or maybe anytime, is when we bring out the summery bronzer, so when Boxycharm sent out a bronzer from Model Co. in the shade, Bronze-Shimmer, I was very happy to try this out!

You can find Model Co.'s beauty products online where they have everything a makeup lover could possibly want. Their Pressed Bronzing Powder retails for $24.00 and comes in a version of either Shimmer or Matte. I was sent the Bronze-Shimmer version, which you can check out here.

They claim that this formula is creamy and offers oil control while giving the skin a natural looking bronzed look. I have had time to test this bronzer out, so I'm going to share my thoughts with you now, so check it out!

This bronzer is about as big as the palm of my hand and you get 0.35 oz of product in this compact. And the compact is just the right size for traveling with, because the compact is not bulky. Honestly is it was a smidge taller, I would declare it too bulky for travel!

My only gripe, is that they could have put a mirror in the compact, because it is always handy to have a mirror built into makeup product's so that I don't have to pack an extra compact along with me. It would definitely save room...  Especially when paying $24.00 for this bronzer, it would be much appreciated!

When Model Co. says that this is the shimmery version of their pressed bronzing powders, they where not kidding in any way shape or form! I was hoping from the above pictures that it would capture the shimmer of this product. In the pan, there are noticeable micro-fine amounts of golden glitter, which is supposed to give you that golden glow, which is perfect for summertime!

When I first applied this bronzer, I was happy to find that this is a highly pigmented product! But, what I also noticed, that I did not love, was that the shimmer was pronounced and noticeable on my face! I applied it in the typical places, around the hairline and the hollows of my cheeks.

Since I was wearing this in the daytime while out doing some volunteer work, I realized that this is not an everyday bronzer.... Instead, I would wear this bronzer on a summer evening out on the town, or on a special occasion, because this is more of a fun eye catching/sun catching beauty product.

Since this is also a bronzer designed not only for your face, but also for your body, you can use this on your décolletage, which would be amazing on a night out!

The formula is very soft and borderline powdery, so tap off your brush! This applies to the face smoothly and is pigmented like I mentioned before. So, make sure you blend it out as you go! When I wore this, it lasted about six hours on my face, but showed signs of fading after that. So, it's performance did not last as long on my oily face, even with my BareMinerals PrimeTime Face Primer.

Overall, the Model Co. Pressed Bronzing Powder in Bronze-Shimmer is good for a night out when you are wanting to have a little fun with your beauty routine. Yet, during the day when you are going off to work, I wouldn't recommend wearing this, because you might look like a disco ball in a room full of LED's...

Taking a look at the Model Co's website, I would love to try out more of their beauty products that they have! Tell me, have you tried any out from Model Co. that you absolutely love?

The Lip Bar Lipstick, "Purple Rain" Review And Swatches

I always get excited over lip products, so when I received a lipstick from The Lip Bar in my May Boxycharm Box, I was so thrilled! I was sent the color, "Purple Rain", which is a beautiful neon-violet-lavender color, and also a shade that is completely out of my comfort zone!

What I appreciate about this brand is that they use healthy natural ingredients, such as shea butter and avocado oil, just to name a few. The brand is definitely geared more toward vibrant lip colors, with a few neutral colors thrown in there. Check out their lip bar menu here where you can find the color, "Purple Rain" that I am reviewing today. Their lip products retail for $20.00 each.

So, lets check this out!

The Lip Bar

The Lip Bar

First, please let us talk about the presentation and packaging of this product! It comes nestled in this velvet lipstick bag, that definitely scream luxury! This is not a flimsy velvet pouch, either. This is the kind that will stand the test of time and you can reuse in the future. I had already thought that it would be ideal to use when traveling to keep my studded earrings protected.

The Lip Bar

I love the look of this lipstick, because it is encased in this beautiful design that makes me want to just set it out on my vanity and admire it. The design is made of plastic material and feels sturdy to withstand being knocked around. But, truly, who would do that to a twenty dollar lipstick as pretty as this is?

Everything about the presentation of this lipstick is just down right cute and glamorous! I especially love the lip print on the packaging, it adds an adorable touch to this product. Even the scroll of the letters in the name of the company is a special touch, it looks stylish to me!

The lipstick twists easily up and it twists all the way back down into the tube so there is no top sticking up. You won't have to worry about nicking the lipstick when putting the cap back on. Oh, AND the top clicks shut securely, so no worrying about it jiggling lose and damaging your product.

Just look at how absolutely beautiful "Purple Rain" is and how vibrant this shade is! This reminds me of a fun summer day and would look absolutely beautiful on all skin tones, in my modest opinion.

There is no scent whatsoever to this product, so you will be happy to know that anyone can wear this without having to worry about it overpowering your senses.

The formula is a dream, it is so creamy and saturated with color that it seriously will knock your socks off! The ingredients that The Lip Bar lipstick contains moisturized my lips throughout the three hours that I wore it. It was so comfortable to wear, that I was a little disappointed that purple isn't exactly a color I am confidant in wearing on my lips... Although, initially my husband laughed at me when I put it on, but did end up saying, "Actually, that looks good on you." YAY!

The Lip Bar, "Purple Rain"

Isn't The Lip Bar's "Purple Rain" an absolutely fun color?! Even though it is out of my comfort zone, it honestly is a wearable bue-toned lavender. I am seriously going to find someway to wear this with confidence along with a destination that is fitting for a vibrant purple such as this.

Tell me, are you confidant to wear shades such as this?
