Impression Confession: NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosst

I have a confession to make...        I decided it was time that I try out the NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss, because I always hear beauty gurus rave about them on YouTube. NYX is not available anywere close to were I live so I always have to order NYX from either Cherry Culture or Ulta online.

When I ordered my Too Faced eyeshadow palette, which I already did a review on, I purchased some NYX glosses, too. They retail for $4.99 on Ulta's website.  I have the colors, Beige, Smokey Look and African Queen to review for you.

Right off, I really like the packaging, although it is nothing special, but these just feel jumbo sized to me, which I enjoy. There is 0.37 oz of product in here that you are paying for. The applicator is a jumbo sized doe foot, which I prefer and ensures a nice even application. What I appreciate is that the applicator is tipped so that it can scrape into the tube once you are running low on product. I have no idea if they designed it that way for that purpose, but I am loving that detail!

I must warn you, there is a strong sweet cherry scent to this that almost leans medicinal, but once you have worn it for a few minutes on your lips the sickly sweet smell does fade away. I happen to enjoy the smell, but if you are sensitive to scent please BEWARE because it is heavy!

Wearing this lip gloss is so comfortable on my lips. It doesn't dry my lips out but gives them some moisture, which is important when it comes to our lip products. The product feels thick on my lips but does not slide everywhere. Of course you will have to reapply after eating and drinking, but that is a given since this is not long wearing gloss, yet it has decent staying power.

African Queen is my favorite and is a deep fuchsia that leans purple. It even has an undertone of blue sparkles in it which is amazing! If you love bold colors, this saturates your lips vibrantly!

Beige is not in any slight way beige whatsoever! There is no hint of brown, only a bright bubblegum pink! This goes on milky on the lips and you must be warned it can settle into cracks and lines if your lips are chapped.

Smokey Look is a sheer peachy color that is a perfect topping to any lip color you have. Even worn on its own it gives the lips a nice shine with a very subtle hint of color.

I truly adore these and am eager to buy a few more down the line. I have to confess that my favorite lipgloss of all time is still Revlon's but these are a very good second!

Hope you try these yourselves if you haven't already!

My Confession's: Too Faced Natural At Night Palette

I have a confession to make...         I am so very upset with myself! I cannot believe it took me this long to even think about trying eyeshadows from Too Faced. The thing is, I have been seriously for awhile now, been longing to get my hands on the Naked palette from Urban Decay, but I have so many eyeshadows already that I cannot justify the fifty dollar price tag just yet. So, I thought I would venture into one of the natural palettes that Too Faced has. I looked over a ton of reviews and swatches and I personally thought that their "Natural At Night" palette was the closest I could get to Urban Decay's Naked palette and for just $36 on ultra.com!

When I received this, I thought that the palette was much smaller than I anticipated. It fits into my hand, that is how small it is. At first I was disappointed at how tiny it is, but honestly, it is small and slender enough to put into your travel makeup bag. Very portable and not at all bulky! Loving this!

The closure is magnetic, which is a huge plus for me since I have that assurance that the lid isn't just going to slide open and my eyeshadows get messed up. Security is important!

Enclosed are three instructional cards that give you tutorials on how to apply the eyeshadows to get different looks. There is a "Night", "Classic" and "Fashion" look in accordance to the grouping of the shadows.

When I swatched these eyeshadows, I immediately fell into love with how soft and buttery these felt! I was floored in awe! The texture is light and velvety; a pure pleasure that I cannot believe that I had not experienced with any other eyeshadow before in my life!

The pigmentation on these shadows is crazy! I highly enjoyed swatching these. Wearing them is a delight, too, because they blend so effortlessly.

There are two matte shades, Cocoa Star and Spotlight. The others range from metallics to shimmers. Each shade compliments the others beautifully.

Top Row: Full Moon, Nightcap, Cocoa Star

Middle Row: Night Light, After Hours, Eclipse

Bottom Row: Spotlight, Moon Shine, Night Fever

I know I am going to get a lot of use out of this palette and it will definitely accompany me on my travels because it has every possible color that I adore wearing!

I highly recommend that you try Too Faced eyeshadows if you haven't already, because they are a dream! I know that I am definitely going to be trying more products from them, because I am falling in love!

They may just be my new obsession...
